Historical Fiction Writing Workshop June 11Campton Hills, IL- On Sunday, June 11, from 1 pm to 4 pm writer Crystal Hollis returns to Garfield Farm Museum to conduct a workshop on historical fiction creative writing.This historical fiction master class will help one get started on a novel based on the past. For writers already working on a project, the workshop will provide advice and direction. A look at the importance of research to make the stories believable will be emphasized. Several techniques to make the characters come to life and engage the reader will be discussed. Other how to tips in this three-hour workshop will be shared to help make one’s piece a success. All experience levels are welcome to participate in this writing skills session. Ms. Hollis has studied under several published authors and earned her MA in Creative Writing in London.
