Garfield Awards Dinner and Ceremony May 9

Awards dinner


Friends of Garfield Farm Museum will hold its 34th Dinner and Awards Ceremony on May 9, 2025, at the historic Dunham Woods Riding Club in Wayne, Illinois.  Award honorees will be the Campton Township Open Space Foundation, the La Fox Civic Association, and Tom Bihun for his restoration work on the Norton family mausoleum.  The event reception will be at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:45 p.m. and the awards presentation at 8 p.m. Click for more information

Volunteers are a critical part of Garfield Farm Museum’s successful preservation and restoration.

Escorted Tours by Appointment

Garfield Farm Museum offers private tours of the buildings and grounds year round by appointment. The tours are $5 for adults and $4 for children under 13 years of age.  Call 630 584-8485 to schedule a tour.



What You'll Find at Garfield Farm Museum

The museum offers a variety of educational, family, and entertainment events. Seminars are held on such topics as prairie, woodlands, and wetlands management; bat and blue bird box construction; and fruit tree grafting. Specials shows bring rare breed livestock, heirloom garden products and seeds, and collections of antique farm tools. Prairie walks are conducted monthly. And there are social events like barn dances and a candlelight tavern reception at the Inn in December. See the Calendar of Events for more details.

Internships in natural areas management and museum management are also available for high school, college, and graduate school students.

Directions to the Museum

Garfield Farm is in Campton Hills,IL on Garfield Road just north of Illinois Route 38 between Geneva and Elburn, Illinois. It is about 3 miles west of Randall Road, which is at the west edge of Geneva and St. Charles. From Illinois Route 38 turn north on Garfield Road and go about 1/4 mile to the museum's entrance.

Museum Hours and Fees

From June through September, the Garfield Farm Museum is open for drop in tours from 1-4 p.m. on Sundays and Wednesday. All other times by appointment, year round. (For an appointment to visit Garfield Farm Museum, call 630/584-8485.) Basic tour donation is $5 per adult and $4 per child under 13 years of age. Special events, seminars and classes have fees ranging from $6 to $500.
