Learn about Beekeeping at Garfield Farm Museum

Garfield Farm Museum is offering a Beekeeping Lecture on Sunday, May 31st at 2pm. The “Bee Talk” will cover the composition of a bee hive, maintaining a hive in Northern Illinois, diseases that affect bees, what is honey and its properties, rules and regulations concerning bees and beekeeping, and how non-beekeepers can encourage and help the populations of honey bees in North America. The talk will be given by museum volunteer, Laura Andersen.
