Garfield Farm is offering a Felting Workshop on Saturday, March 21 from
10:00 am-2:30 pm. The workshop combines a traditional craft with its
contemporary version to make your own miniature art work. The class
will cost a $26 fee, and $14 for a needle felting kit. Lunch is
provided. Reservations are required as the class size is limited.
Learn traditional hot water felting to make pieces for a small
botanical picture, and then assemble the pieces using contemporary
needle felting. A palette of 100% wool yarns and fleeces are used to
make a 3 x 3 floral or leaf art piece. The course will be taught by
Garfield Farm's prairie tour guide and Mineral Point gallery Prairie
Oak Artisans owner Karma Grotelueschen.
